An annual music and arts festival put on by Pitzer College every Spring for more than 50 years. It highlights small artists and is open and free to anyone. It is named after the Comet Kohoutek, a comet that passed close to the Sun towards the end of 1973. The media hyped it as “the comet of the century.” Unfortunately, the comet’s display failed to impress. In true Pitzer fashion, a professor turned a spectacular dud into an original idea. Thus, the Kohoutek festival was born!

I organized the festival and worked on marketing, social media, and merchandise to promote the event. I created three posters, informational business cards, two t-shirt designs, one sweatshirt design, and filmed/edited a publicity video. I used procreate and photoshop to create designs.

Created a TikTok post to promote the artists performing at the festival for Pitzer’s Office of Student Affairs Instagram page.
